House of Mercy Educational Resource Center, HOMERCY has been improving the lives of elementary to high school youth since 2006.  HOMERCY is a neighborhood learning center with certificated staff and volunteers who provide tutoring, mentoring, academic intervention, and enrichment classes. We are committed to motivating youth of every cultural and socio-economic background to not be left behind!  We view our deserving youth as "students of promise."  Our community-based educational learning center is proud to serve the Central East Oakland community by providing qualified teachers, volunteers, and cutting-edge resources to help close the achievement gap.

Our mission is to motivate inner-city youth to aspire and to achieve their dreams.  The students feel safe and enjoy having a home-centered setting.  Through the use of our unique assessment techniques, we can identify the methods that will inspire, stimulate, and connect with your child. We help your child achieve success during each tutoring session. We believe that success builds upon itself. We teach skills that will help your child achieve success on his/her own.  HOMERCY currently operates programs during the summer.

Our experienced teachers and professionals are adept in all areas of learning. We specialize in reading, writing, speaking, spelling, math, and science. We  offer enrichment sessions including visual and performing art, foreign languages, and music.  Our services are not only beneficial for children experiencing difficulties in one or more academic areas, but are helpful to children looking to advance their education. We also have programs available for gifted children, and educational travel opportunities.

House of Mercy Educational Resource Center has a team of highly dedicated and trained professionals and volunteers who strive to take the education process to a new and exciting level. We are committed to provide a quality educational experience in the comfort of our neighborhood learning center.
